I love reading but have never participated in an online reading challenge. I am excited to participate in this one, even though I am a week late! For the challenge, I will be reading:
1.You Better Not Cry: Stories for Christmas by Augusten Burroughs
2. The Gift by Cecelia Ahern
3. Wishin' and Hopin': A Christmas Story by Wally Lamb
4. The Perfect Christmas by Debbie Macomber
5. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
I have never read any of these books, so I am looking forward to the challenge.

First!
In the beginning of this year, I challenged myself to get through the Kay Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell. I have three titles left on the list and it is almost December. I think I will make it! I recently learned of another challenge I can participate in with bibliophiles from around the world.
As the staff member in my library who orders the teen books, I find myself reading blogs about them. One of my favorites is Green Bean Teen Queen. While reading it one day recently, I noticed a neat little box in the sidebar. It was beautiful, blue and festive and the words in the box were 2009 Holiday Reading Challenge. After I clicked on the box and learned what the challenge was, I realized I had to resurrect this old neglected blog, which I had never posted a single blog entry into. So, let's do this. Maybe this will motivate me to start blogging more often. Thank you Nely!
