Canal Walking

Went to the canal with the Dudley family last night. Walked two miles and now my legs are a lil sore. I have been to the canal with them before and have taken pictures.
Here is one of Tyler and Ginger. I love the moon behind them. :)
Wanted a soda so bad yesterday, but ate so many delicious enchiladas that I did not feel I could justify drinking a coke.

We are 16 days into the year and I have read some great books. Check out my widget over there on the side. My favorite so far is Unlimited by Jillian Michaels. Very inspirational. And perspirational. haha

Happy New Year, right?

1) Blog more often. Yeah, so in my last post I said I would post the next day. Obvs, that didn't happen. Whoops. So here I am two days later, hopefully starting off on the right foot.

2) Get fit. Well, I woke up late, made bacon and had 4 cups of coffee. Have only eaten one piece of bacon, but the rest is BACONing (haha get it...beckoning...baconing ok nvm.) to me! They have built a canal near my house and I told Yoyo that I was going to start jogging on it. Gonna do the C25k dealie. I am absolutely certain I can accomplish this goal. I know it will be hard, but isn't everything that is worthwhile?

3) DUMP THE JUNK. Not the junk in my trunk, I covered that in #2. I am talking about the junk in my casa. Joey is in the process of picking up a couch and a chair from one of our friends. When he gets home, we will steam clean the carpet and rearrange the furn. After all that is done, I am going to seriously consider everything in this house and whether or not it will remain in my life.

So here I am on the first day of Jan 2012......watch me do this!!!

New year resolution....s

Well, there are a few. I feel empowered enough to write this down. I know I can do it if I set my mind to it. Yada yada.....so here goes:

Blog more often (hahaha)
Work on getting fit
Dump the junk.

There, I said it. Now to do it. It is 148 am here I will elaborate more on these tomorrow.

I am really excited that we are creating an altar for Xavier Garza's father. I have taken a few pictures....not much progress, but we are getting there! 

DRAT Update

Finished So Yesterday and really enjoying Touching Spirit Bear. The main character reminds me of sooo many kids. Kids I deal with everyday! I wish we could send them to a remote island. HAH! I hadn't realized that So Yesterday was written in 2005. I thought it was more current than that. When I read books set in New York, I want to go to New York.

I am kinda on my last few drops of energy here. Fading fast. It is 2:25 here now. So. Sleepy.

I am almost finished with So Yesterday by Scott Westerfeld. I should have really finished it hours ago, but Joey is a pretty big distraction.

Next up is Touching Spirit Bear. I am ready for a nap! :)
